Some of us don’t get dealt the best hand in life.
On May 11th, for the final time, I left my family’s home after decades of severe abuse and instability. I packed what I could into my beat-up 2012 Subaru Outback and drove from Newmarket to Barrie, trying to figure out what came next.
My very good friend suggested I stop worrying about my belongings and get a storage unit, so I looked into Access Storage. He had used the Mapleview facility during his move in 2024, and I was elated with his exerience & what I saw when I visited.
I got my phone and went on Google to connect with them. The website was seamlessly easy to use, numerous promotions were clearly listed, and within minutes I had reserved the exact unit I needed.
Shortly after, literally a minute or two, I received a call from one of the kindest, most angelic customer service agents I’ve spoken to in a long time. She explained everything clearly, treated me with exceptional compassion, and helped connect me with the Anne Street facility -- at an even better rate than I originally saw online!
When I arrived, the facility manager and ASM were equally welcoming and professional. They got everything processed quickly, answered my questions, helped me get set up, and even had locks available for purchase onsite, which made things much easier during an already abysmal, chaotic day.
What could have been one of the worst days of my life became the first day I felt genuinely empowered in a very long time.
Access Storage didn’t just provide me with a unit — they lent me a hand & gave me serious peace of mind during a personal crisis, and I’ll never forget that.
If you don't get a good hand, you can always fold, shuffle and start right over. Even so, there's tons of people that are ready and willing to help you sort that hand out. I'm glad I happened to find some here.
